Dr. Ziegenfuss is a Fellow of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and is the Chair of the Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition program at Huntington College of Health Sciences.

Dan Edwall holds a PhD in cellular and molecular biology from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden where he also trained as a licensed dentist. Following this, Dr. Edwall did his postdoctoral training as a research fellow at the Mineral Metabolism Unit of Loma Linda University in California, USA, and has subsequently worked with preclinical pharmacology in the Swedish pharmaceutical industry (Pharmacia), and as the director of research for Accuro Immunology, a biotech company. Since 2006, he has been conducting research in food supplements with Scandinavian Clinical Nutrition, and Scandivir.

She has been actively involved in the discovery and commercialization of KoAct®. Dr. Gu received her PhD in Experimental Pathology at the University of California, Los Angeles and completed her post-doctoral work at the California Institute of Technology in the Division of Biology. Dr. Gu worked as a senior research fellow for 5 years at California Institute of Technology, supervising research on G-protein’s function in cancer signaling in the area of cellular and developmental Biology. Dr. Gu holds multiple patents and is a frequent contributor to nutritional journal articles.

As the Director of Technical Development for Bergstrom Nutrition, Mr. Benjamin is responsible for initiating and overseeing all product research from trials to publication, regulatory evaluation, quality compliance and helping facilitate the company’s growth into large-scale manufacturing. He has held many key positions at Bergstrom Nutrition, including Manufacturing Manager, Warehouse Manager, Director of Quality Control, Technical Support of Sales and Marketing, and Director of Supply Chain and Global Logistics. Additionally, he is also listed as inventor on many of the company’s MSM patents. Mr. Benjamin offers years of experience in chemical manufacturing and quality control, with expertise in manufacturing, lab analysis, lab to plant scale-up, and quality system design and implementation. Before earning his degree in chemistry, Mr. Benjamin spent 10 years in management in the grocery industry. Mr. Benjamin’s wide spectrum of experience and knowledge makes him a valuable asset to our clients.
